Cheese and Onion Quiche

Then, here comes a delicious and highly satisfying savoury dish that has lots of caramelized onions and cheese in it and which is guaranteed to starve off all your morning blues! On top, it is great as leftover.

Ingredients
- 6 egg ,large & preferably free range eggs
- 2 to 3 cups Cheese ,shredded & divided
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Tablespoon Butter + more for greasing
- 1/2 white Onion ,large & chopped finely
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper ,grounded
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Thyme ,dried

Instructions
- To start with, preheat the oven to 175 degree Celsius or 350 degree Fahrenheit.
- Next, heat a medium sized skillet over medium low heat and to this, stir in the butter and melt it.
- Once the butter is melted, add the onion and sauté them for 3 to 4 minutes or until the onions have become transparent and translucent.
- Remove the skillet from the heat and set it aside.
- Now, apply the butter all over the bottom part of the two 10 inch quiche pans and place 2 cups of the cheese into each of them.
- Spread the cheese out and layer half of the onion on to its top in an even manner.
- After that, place the eggs, cream, thyme and the seasonings in a bowl and combine them by whisking them until they are frothy and properly mixed.
- Then, spoon half of the egg mixture into both the pans and then by using a fork, mix them well so that it is well incorporated.
- Finally, bake them for about 22 to 25 minutes or until it is well done and set and becomes slightly golden at the centre portion. Note: you can also insert a toothpick at the centre portion and if it comes clean, it can be taken out.
- To serve, slice them into 6 pieces and serve them hot.
Recipe Notes
It is also possible to use milder cheese like Havarti etc. for this quiche.
