This dinner fare features criss-cross layers of succulent meat patties, salty Cypriot cheese halloumi along with a whole lot of fresh vegetables to provide a hearty fare for you. They are surprisingly easy to make and are absolutely perfect for weekday dinners.

  1. Begin by placing all the ingredients needed to make the burger patties in a large sized bowl and then combine them well until they are well incorporated.
  2. Now, make four patties out of this meat dough which are about ¼ lb each in weight.
  3. After that, heat a skillet over medium high heat and then toss the meat patties into it and sear them for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until they are perfectly cooked.
  4. Next, place the patties on the arugula leaves.
  5. Finally, top them with the grilled cheese, pickled red onions, avocado and celery and serve it immediately.
Recipe Notes

If you want to make it a bit spicy, you can even add some red pepper flakes on top of the steak while adding the other toppings. If you want to know how to grill halloumi cheese, then here comes a simple description. To grill the halloumi cheese, heat a griddling pan and heat it over medium high heat. To this, apply some oil and then griddle the halloumi for 30 seconds to one minute per side or until brown marks starts appearing.
